We purchased these lights to light up our side yard. We’ve had them up for a few months and are very happy with the look and the amount of light that the produce. These lights run of the Moonrays solar AA batteries which are charged during the day via the solar panel on the top of the unit. The batteries are easily accessible by twisting the lower portion of the light. (I will update this review when the batteries need to be changed, so you know how long they last) These lights are constructed with plastic and have a bronze finish to them. For the price they work great and also look awesome. If they made these out of metal I would definitely pay the extra money for them. Only time will tell how they hold up under the hot California sun. we’re situated on corner lot and also have the community mail boxes on our side yard. So we wanted to make sure the side yard not only looks nice but also had enough light for any of our neighbors checking their mail in the evenings.The two lights behind the mail box are 15 LED motion sensored security lights. They're not as bright as the single LED wall sconce lights, I will probably replace with another wall sconce.1 of the 8 units I purchased was DOA, even after charging it in the sun. I will try replacing the batteries to see if thats the problem. For that reason I took 1 star away.
