This is the second one I've had the first one lasted for five years. High Quality Product!I got it as a gift for a friend to carry in her bag.The item is pretty solid, small and compact, but the flashlight did not work. In fact I did not even realize there was a light on this tool until after I got it. I did not feel like buying new batteries for an item that did not work. That said as I did not know about the light no big deal really.Regardless of the light, I'd buy one for myself if I needed another multi tool.Nice little multi tool that I got to include in a first ais/emergency kit for camping. Minus one star because the batteries to the led light are dead. Plus one star because it also came with a bonus led flashlight. But minus 2 stars because the batteries in that one are so corroded that I can't even get them out to replace. I've sent the seller a note.Great quality product, and although it is slightly smaller than I expected, it is built well, feels solid, and worked like a charm over my camping trip this last weekend! It's smaller size makes it nicely forgotten inside of your pocket for those who need it everyday. The small LED light isn't too bright, but that's okay considering it works best when used to direct the pliers somewhere dark. All in all, great bang for your buck (I got mine here on Amazone for less than $10). I can't compare it to any of the higher end multi-tools, but for the price and quality, this one is highly recommended.this mini multi tool is really awesome! Has that quality feel, but so inexpensive. Worth buying multiples to have in various locationsI bought mine for 5.47 at a retailer in the clearance isle, and it has blown me away. Spring loaded opening, with locking grooves for both the pliers and every tool on it, bright LED, and very solid stainless steel construction. You just feel how capable it is when you hold it. The only con I can even remotely think of it is heavier then other multi-tools even larger than it is. But that's not really a con, I prefer the heft of steel, and not plastic or aluminum. (please see enclosed photos)These are great mini multi-tool pliers. They feel very good quality in the hand and mechanism. The LED light is a nice addition to what you normally find in multi-tools this small size. I wanted something that I could add to my little pocketable EDC kit but was big enough to be a useful tool. The Leatherman squirts are super small at 2.25" closed and this coast is 3" closed so it gives a little more strength and torque while using it than the smaller 2.25" models, so it feels more like a real tool. The next step up after this was something 3.8 inches which is too big for my little EDC case. I also stropped the knife edge and it holds a decent sharp edge even after some basic soft wood widdling and plastic container cutting. I have not used all the other tools this comes with but it all looks quality to me. Also I owned a Leatherman micra for years which is twice the cost of this Coast and the micra has scissors as the main tool instead of pliers and let me tell you, even though people rave about how good the micra scissors are in comparison to most mutitool scissors, they are so small and useless. The mini plier is much more useful as a main tool. With the micra I always found myself going for the knife and using that for cutting tasks. Maybe cutting paper and very small cordage is the only thing the little scissors are good for.The knife is better in combination with pliers/wire strippers as the main tool.As for the size of this Coast Multi-tool, the EDC case I'm using is a 6 slot "Nylon Fabric Storage Holder/Wallet/Case/Bag/Organizer for USB Flash Drives/Thumb Drives/Pen Drives/Jump Drives" It's size is 5" x 3.5" x .75" and this little multi-tool slides into 2 of the slots perfectly. This is great since I added other things to my kit and its like a slim wallet that holds everything in place and it can be in my pocket with my cell phone and I don't have to worry that the tool steel will scratch my phone! Wonderful!Good: The number of tools & functions for this price is excellent. I've found good use for most of them in only 5 weeks, to the point where I'm not carrying my entire tool bag into every job by default. It's small enough for my pockets, and the spring action on the pliers is nice.Less good: It's a bit stiff on the joints until it sees some use, and some of the tools can be a bit tough to dig out. The pivot point on the pliers slowly leaks a bit of lubricant as well.Bought as a gift for my brother and he loves it. Small and light enough to keep around. LED light is a nice touch and is not found on other multitools.Very handy to have around. Has just enough of the primary functions one would need.Bought these as a gift for an older teenage boy. He really liked them, especially the built in flashlight. They have a good weight to them and seem well made. Very pleased with the purchase, especially for the price.Sturdy, a little stiff at first but loosens up great.
