Poor quality control. I have ordered 3 of these lamps (two at work) and only one has worked. The first came with an on/off switch that was permanently pressed down so that it would not work at all. The second was fine. Then I ordered another for home. I thought maybe that first one was a fluke. Nope! This one came with an on/off switch in permanently on position. It could be dimmed with no problem. But could not turn it off. And to boot, the two joints had no tension! So the lamp just flopped around like a dead fish. When it is in working condition, it is a great lamp. That's why I wanted one for home. But the quality control by Adesso has just gone down the tubes. I don't think there is any, actually. Returned for refund. I'm done.We got this in good shape - no damage or anything. However, it simply would not turn on. So, we sent it back and ordered another one. It was also dead on arrival, so we sent it back and bought a different product. Maybe they just had a bad run of switches or something. Who knows.Product advertised as being 26" tall when indeed it was only 16" tall. It was stated that it had a "full-range dimmer switch" when indeed the switch was only ON and OFF. Returned item.
